The Fourth Oil&nonoil Hits the Mark

The fair (ModenaFiere, 9-11 May) dedicated to technology and solutions for service stations, alternative fuels and the car wash industry has grown beyond all expectations. “Stoccaggio & trasporto carburanti” made its début.

The fourth “Oil&nonoil - CarWash, Alternative fuel, Service stations” starts today and runs until Tuesday 11th May at ModenaFiere. This year it features the side event “Stoccaggio & trasporto carburanti” dedicated to fuel storage and transportation technology. The fair continues the steady growth path that began in 2004, now occupying an area of 17,000 sq m (+30% compared to 2008, + 300% from the previous year) with 190 exhibitors (+35% since 2008 and +240% since 2004).
Its current configuration clearly defines Oil&nonoil as the only Italian fair “dedicated to car and driver”, and the launch of “Stoccaggio & trasporto carburanti” also marks the debut of the only Italian fair for technology and solutions for the petrol industry and alternative fuels. It covers everything from “storage reservoir to the car tank”.
The 190 exhibitors represent a balanced mix of high technology proposed by multinationals and of ingenious artisanship, including an array of innovative solutions, to provide a precise response to client needs.
Sixteen industry associations are sponsoring the event and are making constructive contributions in the form of ideas, especially with regard to seminars and conferences, which represent a distinguishing feature of Oil&nonoil. All of the associations bar two are Italian, and include the American International Carwashing Association and the European Upei, which groups independent petrol companies.
The Italian associations represent the world of fuel distribution making the fair the ideal occasion for businesses to get together and see what is happening in the industry.

The event also focuses on “training & information”. 32 meetings are scheduled and they will focus on regulations on excise duty, the problem of purifying car wash water, the safe transportation of fuels and the development of methane distribution sites for automotives, not to mention many others. A complete calendar of events is available on the website www.oilnonoil.it and includes a brief presentation of the contents of the various conferences.
The alternative fuels area (LPG, natural gas, methane hydrate) has attracted a great deal of interest among investors and the Italian industry which is among the most advanced and richest industry in the world in this field. This area meets the demand from the pressing questions linked in part to protecting the environment.
Leading companies are grouped at the fair to showcase a vast range of proposals and provide a complete overview of fuel delivery for the car and its modernisation, payment systems, pumping, steam recovery, signs and other areas.
The car care and cleaning industry is also completely represented, as Italy has one of the leading world production centres for this field (from the manufacture of car wash systems, the production of detergents, purification technology and a rich array of equipment for finishing the car). According to Federlavaggi data, this production segment invoices at least 300 million Euro, 40% of which is generated by exports.
With its tanks, meters and arms, “Stoccaggio & trasporto carburanti” will attract network and non-network operators who handle the 36,000,000 tons of fuel needed to meet national consumption.
Visitors will arrive from all over Italy and, following a gradual but steady growth path, also from abroad. The 190 exhibitors will provide novelties and offer products that are certain to impress visitors, improving their work and making their business more profitable
