Oil&nonoil Starts Writing its own “Fifth Symphony”
The 2012 edition of Oil&nonoil-S&TC scheduled from 13th-15th May in Modena. Strong focus on increasing the number of specialist firms attending the event and attracting overseas businesses thanks to Italy’s reputation for excellence. The show will occupy the entire fairgrounds.
In less than a year, from 13th to 15th May 2012 the fifth edition of Oil&nonoil-S&TC will return to its Modena home to fly the flag as Europe’s foremost event for service stations, car wash and services and the storage and transportation of fuels and inflammable materials. Indeed car wash, alternative fuels, service station, transportation and fuel storage are the words that complete the fair’s description telling those who come from outside the industry just exactly what this, Italy’s only trade fair dealing directly with these sectors, is all about: “A show dedicated to businesses that supply car care services and provide motorists with everything they need.”
An all-round event
Beginning with fuel storage, everything about the event traces a perfect profile of an industry that aims to provide solutions to the motorists’ personal needs including vehicle care and clearing as well as all those services that make petrol stations a hub of eco-friendly initiatives.
Respect for the environment finds many outlets in the technology used for re-cycling and disposing of waste liquids, cutting edge detergents, systems powered by solar panels, double-sided tanks, alternative fuels (natural gas, hydro-methane, LPG, bio-fuels etc.,).
The achievements, the comprehensive range of categories taking part, the quality Italy brings to technical resources and the nations reputation for design, the know-how and independent nature of those visiting the event have made Oil&NO-S&TC a European event not to be missed.
Steady growth
The fair has grown steadily since its first edition in 2004 (+ 289% exhibition space, + 196% exhibitors and + 263% visitors). These increases are, at least partly, due to the on-going addition of new sectors that have each made their own contribution.
Tandem, the organising company, see the sectors as instruments in an orchestra which need to be tuned and arranged to obtain the best effect and jokingly refer to the 2012 edition as the one they hope will: “bring together everyone’s virtuoso skills to write our very own Fifth Symphony.”
Conventions, seminars and workshops
Sixteen professional associations from the industry are sponsoring the event and have made some constructive suggests as to the part seminars, conventions and workshops for the various sectors will play. Aspects of “education and information” are key to Oil&nonoil-S&TC and the organisers are looking at solutions that will add to the overall value of the fair. They are eager to deal with any issues that may arise in the weeks leading up to the event.
Of course, the firms themselves, will be very pro-active in this sense, above all those that have already benefitted from previous workshops and are keen to repeat the experience.
Focus on non oil activities
The non-oil segment will be central to the event now that the issue has come to the forefront of political policies and is often discussed at government meetings and by the professional associations – the drop in fuel sales is just one of the developments causing concern. Non-oil activities do not merely change the make-up of the profits operators hope to earn, but often require careful analysis prior to investment. The event will attempt to give some answers concerning the issue in the shape of products and information.
